Job Overview – Head of Accounting Partnerships:
Our client is seeking a seasoned Head of Accounting and GP Reporting to join their expanding team in Greenwich, CT. This high-profile role involves managing and reporting on all Investments, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and working closely with senior leadership.

Location: Greenwich, CT
Compensation: $200,000 – $250,000/year + bonus
Schedule: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday

Responsibilities as the Head of Accounting:

  • Accounting and Quarterly Reporting: Manage all aspects of GP accounting, including ledger maintenance, book closing, financial audits, and quarterly reporting for multiple funds and co-investment vehicles.
  • Financial Statements and Capital Management: Prepare and review quarterly financial statements, calculate capital calls and distributions, and manage carry pools and complex co-investment structures.
  • Coordination: Work with fund administrators, the Fund Accounting team, and third-party service providers, including auditors and tax consultants.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Review and approve journal entries, collaborate with Legal, Tax, and Fund Accounting for operational efficiencies.
  • Financial Reporting and Stakeholder Service: Prepare financial statements, reports, and cash flow forecasts, provide high-level service to key senior members, and maintain communication with their advisors.
  • Accounting and Confidentiality: Offer real-time investment accounting for cash flow and budgeting, ensuring the confidentiality and privacy of financial records.

Qualifications for the Head of Partnership Accounting:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: 10 years of accounting experience, with a preference for experience with private equity, GP accounting and Fund Accounting.
  • Skills: Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Proven track record of handling confidential information.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact with discretion and professionalism.
