Atlantic Group is seeking a Fund Finance & Operations Associate on behalf of our client in New York, NY (Hybrid) to support fund reporting, operations, and investor servicing for a growing real estate investment platform. This role includes managing budgets, coordinating audits, overseeing valuations and fees, and partnering with fund administrators and investment teams. Ideal for candidates with experience in real estate fund accounting, US GAAP, and ASC 820.

Responsibilities as the Fund Finance & Operations Associate:

  • Fund Accounting & Payments: Review invoices, reconcile draw requests, and ensure timely fund-level payment processing.
  • Financial Reporting & Valuations: Oversee quarterly reporting under US GAAP and assist with ASC 820 fair value assessments and waterfall reviews.
  • Fee & Budget Management: Manage fund-level fee calculations and lead budgeting processes, including liquidity forecasting with asset-level teams.
  • Audit & Compliance: Coordinate annual audits, respond to auditor inquiries, and maintain internal control documentation and regulatory compliance.
  • Investor & Entity Support: Address investor inquiries, support due diligence, and manage fund entity formations, amendments, and tax filings.
  • Governance & Risk Monitoring: Contribute to governance initiatives, such as expense allocation oversight, and track operational risk items.

Qualifications for the Fund Finance & Operations Associate:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required (CPA strongly preferred).
  • Experience: 4-6 years of experience in public accounting with real estate clients or in a real estate investment firm, preferably with closed-end fund or REIT exposure.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency in Excel and financial modeling, with familiarity in real estate-specific accounting platforms.
  • Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of US GAAP, ASC 820, and fund waterfall mechanics, particularly within real estate fund structures.
  • Skills & Attributes: Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills with a detail-oriented, proactive approach to managing priorities and supporting investor communication.
