Atlantic Group is hiring a Fund Accounting Manager (Private Equity) in Westchester County, NY for our client, supporting fund accounting, financial reporting, investment operations, and partnership accounting activities within a leading private investment environment. This hybrid role will support private equity fund accounting, fund operations, financial reporting, and related investment activities. The ideal candidate will bring strong private equity fund accounting experience, advanced technical accounting skills, and a technology-forward mindset with experience leveraging accounting systems and operational tools to improve efficiency.

Responsibilities as the Fund Accounting Manager:

  • Fund Accounting: Maintain capital accounts, manage capital calls and distributions, oversee expense allocations, and manage partnership accounting activities for private investment funds.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements, investor reporting packages, audit schedules, and supporting accounting analyses for private equity funds.
  • Fund Analysis: Support fund allocations, investment performance analyses, and related accounting activities across private investment structures.
  • Investment Operations: Support transaction accounting, investment activity tracking, cash management, and operational workflows related to private equity investments.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with tax, legal, compliance, investor relations, and operations teams to support reporting, regulatory filings, investor requests, and strategic initiatives.
  • Process Improvement & Technology: Drive operational enhancements, automation initiatives, system improvements, and accounting workflow efficiencies utilizing fund accounting and reporting technologies.

Qualifications for the Fund Accounting Manager:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required, CPA designation is preferred.
  • Experience: 5–10 years of private equity fund accounting experience is required.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of partnership accounting, capital activity, waterfalls, carried interest calculations, fund financial reporting, and private equity fund structures is required.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are required, while experience with Investran, private capital accounting systems, automation tools, and workflow technology platforms is strongly preferred.
  • Skills & Attributes: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, communication abilities, intellectual curiosity, organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment are required.
