Job Overview – Fund Accounting Manager (Private Equity):
Compensation: $120,000 – $150,000/year

Join our client as a Fund Accounting Manager (Private Equity) in Boston, MA (Hybrid), managing client relationships and overseeing fund accounting and reporting for private equity and venture capital funds. Serve as the primary point of contact, lead audit and tax processes, review investor communications, and support business development initiatives. Ideal for professionals with public accounting or fund administration experience, strong client management skills, and expertise in private equity and partnership accounting.
Responsibilities as the Fund Accounting Manager (Private Equity):
- Client Management: Maintain regular communication with clients to understand fund activities, address needs, and manage expectations.
- Engagement Oversight: Direct engagements to meet client requirements while optimizing staff utilization and efficiency.
- Audit, Tax & Investor Communications: Supervise audit and tax processes and review all communications for accuracy and compliance.
- Business Development: Support client acquisition efforts, proposal preparation, and firm growth initiatives.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and train junior staff to strengthen skills and performance.
Qualifications for the Fund Accounting Manager (Private Equity):
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required (CPA preferred).
- Experience: 2+ years in public accounting, fund administration, or private equity/venture capital fund accounting, with strong knowledge of partnership accounting preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) with familiarity in QuickBooks preferred.
- Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of private equity and venture capital fund structures, accounting processes, and investor reporting requirements.
- Skills & Attributes: Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and build lasting client relationships.
