Job Overview – Fund Accounting Analyst (Private Equity):
Compensation: $90,000 – $110,000/year + bonus
Location: New York, NY
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Manage fund accounting and investor reporting as a Fund Accounting Analyst (Private Equity) with our client in New York, NY (Hybrid), handling general ledgers, capital calls, distributions, and accounts payable. Leverage Investran, QuickBooks, and Excel to ensure accurate, compliant reporting, and collaborate with internal teams, fund administrators, and auditors to deliver timely, high-quality financials to Limited Partners.
Responsibilities as the Fund Accounting Analyst:
- General Ledger & Cash Activity: Maintain ledgers for funds, subsidiaries, and management companies, book daily cash transactions, and reconcile intercompany balances.
- Accounts Payable & Reconciliations: Manage expense reimbursements per partnership agreements and perform monthly bank reconciliations.
- Investor & Capital Reporting: Prepare and distribute financial reports, partner capital statements, and capital call/distribution notices.
- Audit & Tax Support: Provide schedules and documentation for audits, coordinate tax filings, and distribute K-1s for fund and GP entities.
- System Management: Maintain and update fund accounting and LP contact management systems, including Investran and QuickBooks.
Qualifications for the Fund Accounting Analyst:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
- Experience: 1-2 years of fund accounting experience in private equity, venture capital, or other investment firms preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Investran, QuickBooks, and advanced Microsoft Excel required.
- Skills & Attributes: Strong communicator with excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, discretion, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.
