Job Overview – Fund Accountant:
Our client's company is seeking a skilled Fund Accountant to join their finance team in New York City. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining precise financial records, statements, and filings for investment funds, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and supporting financial growth.
Compensation: $90,000.00 – $130,000.00 + bonus
Location: New York City
Responsibilities for the Fund Accountant include:
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Conduct meticulous account reconciliations and in-depth fund performance analyses
- Post journal entries and adjustments with precision
- Provide vital support for external audits and regulatory filings
- Monitor and enforce compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal policies
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation
- Handle ad-hoc financial analyses and special projects with finesse
Qualifications of the Fund Accountant include:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3+ years of experience in fund accounting, investment, or public accounting
- Possess strong technical accounting skills with unwavering attention to detail
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Excel and various accounting software
- CPA license preferred but not required
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively
