Job Overview – Fund Accountant (Private Equity)
Compensation: $80,000 – $90,000/year + bonus
Location: Boston, MA
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Atlantic Group is hiring a Fund Accountant (Private Equity) in Boston, MA for our client, supporting fund accounting, financial reporting, and investor servicing within a private equity environment. This role focuses on managing fund and co-investment accounting activities, including financial reporting, capital activity, and audit support, while partnering closely with finance, investment, and compliance teams. The position offers strong exposure to private equity operations, high visibility, and the opportunity to grow within a collaborative and high-performing team.
Responsibilities as the Fund Accountant (Private Equity):
- Fund Accounting: Prepare financial statements, capital reports, and reconciliation schedules.
- Reporting: Produce investor reporting packages and periodic fund reports.
- Capital & Cash Activity: Manage capital activity, bank reconciliations, and wire processing.
- Performance Metrics: Calculate fund metrics including IRR and partner allocations.
- Audit & Compliance: Support audits, tax coordination, and regulatory filings.
- Investor Relations: Respond to investor requests and support ongoing communications.
Qualifications for the Fund Accountant (Private Equity):
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Experience: 1–3 years of experience in public accounting, private equity, or fund administration is required.
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding of GAAP and partnership accounting is required; exposure to private equity structures is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Strong Excel skills are required.
- Skills & Attributes: Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, communication skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment are required.
