Job Overview – Financial Reporting Associate (Hedge Funds):
Join our hedge fund client in Boston, MA, as a Financial Reporting Associate, specializing in producing financial statements and overseeing regulatory reporting for master-feeder fund structures. Work collaboratively with internal teams, administrators, and auditors to ensure accuracy and compliance across all reporting functions.

Compensation: $80,000 – $95,000/year + bonus
Location: Boston, MA
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)

Responsibilities as the Financial Reporting Associate (Hedge Funds):

  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare annual, quarterly, and interim financial statements and footnotes in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
  • Regulatory Reporting: Compile quarterly SEC, CFTC/NFA, and annual CIMA regulatory reports, and assist with foreign jurisdiction filings.
  • Investor Reporting: Create monthly investor-specific reports and address inquiries.
  • Reconciliations: Perform monthly/quarterly accounting reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of accounting records.
  • Audit Support: Prepare audit deliverables, review communications from auditors, and support the audit process.
  • Consolidation Accounting: Incorporate consolidation accounting for various legal entities into reporting deliverables.

Qualifications for the Financial Reporting Associate (Hedge Funds):

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
  • Experience: 2-3 years as a Financial Services Auditor, preferably with hedge fund or private equity experience.
  • Certification: CPA certification is required.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with fixed income securities, derivatives, complex financial instruments, and master-feeder structures is a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Total Return accounting systems is advantageous).
  • Skills: Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with a high attention to detail.
