Job Overview – Financial Controller (Pharmaceutical):
Take the next step as a Financial Controller with our pharmaceutical client in Chester County, PA . This role is ideal for an experienced financial leader with expertise in pharmaceutical accounting, financial reporting, and operational strategy. Oversee financial planning, budgeting, internal controls, and regulatory compliance, ensuring GAAP adherence while driving strategic growth and operational efficiency.
Compensation: $110,000 – $125,000/year + bonus
Location: Chester County, PA
Schedule: Monday to Friday (In-Office)
Responsibilities as the Financial Controller:
- Financial Oversight & Compliance: Ensure GAAP compliance, maintain internal controls, and oversee revenue, expenses, and budgets.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop financial benchmarks, budgets, and reporting standards in coordination with the CEO.
- Accounting Policy & Compliance: Establish standardized accounting policies and stay updated on regulatory changes.
- Financial Analysis & Reporting: Deliver data-driven insights and financial updates to senior management.
- Risk Management & Process Optimization: Implement fraud prevention measures, strengthen internal controls, and streamline payroll and accounting processes.
- Leadership & Collaboration: Lead the accounting team and work with executive leadership to align financial planning with business goals.
Qualifications for the Financial Controller:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required (CPA or MBA preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting and financial management experience, with a strong preference for pharmaceutical, drug manufacturing, or biotech industry experience.
- Technical Proficiency: Expertise in banking processes, financial data analysis, and payroll management, with proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
- Regulatory & Compliance Knowledge: Deep understanding of national and local tax regulations, GAAP compliance, and financial reporting standards.
- Skills & Attributes: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills with a proactive mindset, proven ability to communicate financial data, and a track record of optimizing accounting workflows and payroll efficiency.
