Job Overview – Financial Controller | Construction Accounting:
Join our client's team as a Financial Controller in Boston, MA. This role requires expertise in construction accounting, particularly in highway construction. As a key player in their financial leadership, you'll be responsible for budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance.
Compensation: $140,000.00 – $180,000.00 + bonus
Location: Boston, Massachusetts (On-site, 5 days a week)
Responsibilities as the Financial Controller include:
- Leading financial operations with a focus on accuracy and accountability
- Managing construction cost accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting
- Preparing Work in Progress (WIP) schedules and budget forecasts
- Assisting in risk control, insurance programs, and contract management
- Developing company policies and procedures
- Collaborating with the leadership team on strategic financial planning
- Working with external partners for financial planning and reporting
- Ensuring compliance with corporate filings, payroll, and taxes
Qualifications for the Financial Controller include:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
- Minimum of 7 years in construction company finance/accounting
- Minimum of 3 years in a leadership role
- Familiarity with Foundation Construction Accounting Software is a plus
- Experience with Unit Price Billing, Certified Payrolls, Union Participation, and Public Bidding is preferred
