Role Overview – Financial Controller:
Join a fast-growing firm as a Financial Controller overseeing accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls.
Compensation: $175,000.00 – $200,000.00
Location: Fully remote, with occasional visits to NYC office
Travel: ~25% travel to CA and London offices in first six months
Responsibilities for the Financial Controller include:
- Leading all aspects of accounting and financial reporting
- Managing monthly close process and ensuring accuracy
- Preparing GAAP financial statements and disclosures
- Designing and implementing effective internal controls
- Managing external audit process and remediating control gaps
- Researching and analyzing complex accounting issues
- Supervising and developing accounting team members
- Integrating acquired companies into accounting practices
Qualifications of the Financial Controller include:
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience
- CPA (highly preferred), ideally with Big 4 background
- Controller or Assistant Controller experience
- Expertise with GAAP, revenue recognition, consolidations
- Strong technical accounting research and analysis skills
- Team leadership and professional development abilities
- Acquisition accounting and integration experience
