Job Overview – Financial Analyst (FP&A)
Compensation: $95,000 – $105,000/year + bonus
Location: Gloucester County, NJ
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Atlantic Group is hiring a Financial Analyst (FP&A) in Gloucester County, NJ for our manufacturing client, supporting budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, cost management, and operational decision-making. This role partners closely with finance and business teams to evaluate performance, improve profitability, and strengthen financial visibility across the organization. The position offers broad exposure to manufacturing finance, product costing, operational analytics, and strategic planning.
Responsibilities as the Financial Analyst (FP&A):
- Financial Planning: Support annual budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and month-end financial analysis.
- Variance Analysis: Evaluate actual performance against budgets, forecasts, and prior periods and identify key business drivers.
- Cost & Margin Analysis: Analyze product costs, gross margins, pricing, labor, materials, overhead, and operational variances.
- Financial Modeling: Develop financial models, dashboards, business cases, and ROI analyses to support business decisions.
- Operational Finance: Partner with operations, supply chain, procurement, and commercial teams to identify cost savings and performance opportunities.
Qualifications for the Financial Analyst (FP&A):
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required (MBA preferred).
- Certification: CPA or CMA preferred.
- Experience: 3–6 years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or FP&A is required, with public accounting experience strongly preferred.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or another operationally complex environment is strongly preferred, with knowledge of cost accounting, inventory, and financial reporting.
- Technical Skills: Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and ERP system experience are required, while experience with business intelligence tools and financial reporting platforms is preferred.
- Skills & Attributes: Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate financial data into actionable recommendations and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
