Job Overview – Financial Accountant (Management & Fund Operations):
Step into a dynamic role with our client’s finance team in New York, NY, as a Financial Accountant in Management and Fund Operations. This hybrid position is integral to multi-entity financial reporting, tax planning, and strategic financial analysis across complex fund structures.
Compensation: $125,000 – $160,000/year + bonus
Location: New York, NY
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Responsibilities as the Financial Accountant (Management & Fund Operations):
- Financial Oversight: Manage consolidated and combined financial statements for multiple entities, ensuring tax and legal compliance.
- Management: Oversee monthly journal entries, including management fees, incentive fees, financing, and tax accruals.
- Revenue Reporting: Maintain accurate revenue recognition and incentive schedules aligned with management reporting standards.
- Investment Accounting: Record and track investment earnings, including market fluctuations and distributions.
- Tax Coordination: Partner with tax professionals to prepare estimates, K-1s, and ensure accurate tax distributions.
- Compliance: Lead audits and tax timelines in coordination with external auditors for all fund and management entities.
Qualifications for the Financial Accountant (Management & Fund Operations):
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required (CPA preferred).
- Experience: 3-6 years in Public/Private Accounting, ideally within a management company or fund setting.
- Skills: Expertise in GAAP, fund accounting, tax planning, and financial reporting required.
- Attributes: Proactive, detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
