Atlantic Group is hiring a Finance & Operations Associate in New York, NY for our client’s private equity team. This in-office role supports fund accounting, investor reporting, compliance, and daily operations while collaborating with administrators, auditors, and tax advisors. You’ll manage capital activity, assist with valuations, and drive automation using Notion, Attio, and Airtable. Ideal for a detail-oriented professional seeking broad exposure across finance, operations, and investor relations.

Responsibilities as the Finance & Operations Associate:

  • Fund Accounting & Reporting: Oversee quarterly and annual closes with fund administrators, ensuring accuracy in financial statements and investor reporting.
  • Capital Activity & Treasury Management: Prepare and review capital calls, distributions, and fee calculations while managing cash reconciliations, credit facilities, and liquidity forecasting.
  • Valuation & Investment Support: Assist in investment closings, quarterly valuations, and maintenance of investment and KPI records.
  • Operational Improvements: Drive process efficiency by automating workflows and enhancing reporting through tools such as Notion, Attio, and Airtable.
  • Compliance & Firm Operations: Support compliance filings, policy reviews, vendor management, IT security, and coordination of firm events.

Qualifications for the Finance & Operations Associate:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required (CPA preferred).
  • Experience: 4+ years of fund accounting experience, ideally with a mix of public and private accounting and exposure to private equity, venture capital, or fund administration.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with working knowledge of Notion, Attio, Airtable, or comparable workflow and data management tools preferred.
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of private fund structures, capital activity, financial reporting, and compliance processes.
  • Skills & Attributes: Analytical, detail-oriented, and proactive professional with strong communication and problem-solving skills, adept at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
