Compensation: $100,000 – $130,000/year + bonus
Location: New York, NY
Schedule: Monday to Friday (In-Office)

Atlantic Group is hiring a Finance Associate (Corporate Accounting & Reporting) in New York, NY with our client. In this in-office role, you will support corporate accounting, billing, cash reconciliation, and month-end close while preparing management reports and assisting with quarterly statements and audits. You will oversee A/P and A/R workflows, maintain accurate GL activity, and help improve processes and controls. Ideal for candidates with strong Excel skills and accounting experience in financial services or corporate environments.

Responsibilities as the Finance Associate:

  • Month-End Close & Reporting: Prepare close workbooks, reconciliations, journal entries, and monthly/quarterly reporting packages with variance analysis.
  • Accounts Payable, Receivable & Billing: Oversee outsourced A/P and A/R workflows, manage billing cycles, ensure timely collections, and maintain accurate vendor records.
  • Cash & Intercompany Management: Manage daily cash bookings, reconciliations, and intercompany reimbursement activity to ensure accurate financial tracking.
  • Financial Statements, Audit & Budgeting: Support quarterly financial statement preparation, annual audits, and budgeting with schedules, documentation, and analysis.
  • Process Improvement: Enhance internal controls, streamline workflows, and support automation initiatives across finance operations.

Qualifications for the Finance Associate:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required (CPA preferred).
  • Experience: 2-5 years of accounting experience in public accounting or corporate/private accounting within financial services or a related industry.
  • Technical Skills: Strong Excel proficiency required, with experience using GL/ERP systems and financial reporting tools preferred.
  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of corporate accounting, financial reporting cycles, internal controls, and management company operations.
  • Skills & Attributes: Detail-oriented, analytical, and highly organized professional with strong communication and problem-solving skills who excels in fast-paced, collaborative environments.
