Compensation: $135,000 – $200,000/year + bonus

Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)

Atlantic Group is seeking a Finance & Accounting Manager for our client in Boston, MA (Hybrid). This high-impact role offers the opportunity to oversee financial reporting, capital account management, and multi-entity operations for a complex investment firm. Ideal for professionals with private equity or venture capital experience, you’ll lead GAAP closes, manage partner allocations, and support system and process improvements.

Responsibilities as the Finance & Accounting Manager:

  • Close & Consolidation: Manage monthly and quarterly close processes, booking entries and preparing GAAP-compliant consolidated financials.
  • Capital & Equity Management: Oversee partner capital accounts, equity allocations, redemptions, and mark-to-market adjustments.
  • Tax & Partner Coordination: Align reporting with IRS guidelines and ensure accurate processing of guaranteed payments and tax distributions.
  • Reconciliations & Controls: Reconcile intercompany balances across entities to ensure financial accuracy and transparency.
  • Investment & Cash Oversight: Track firm investments, post wires, and manage cash movements, budgeting, and liquidity planning.
  • Process Optimization: Lead improvements to financial systems and workflows, including enhancements to NetSuite and reporting tools.

Qualifications for the Finance & Accounting Manager:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
  • Certification: CPA preferred.
  • Experience: 5+ years of accounting experience in private equity, venture capital, or complex multi-entity structures, with strong exposure to partnership and corporate accounting.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in US GAAP and NetSuite, with preferred experience in special allocations, profits interests, and mark-to-market accounting.
  • Skills & Attributes: Analytical and detail-oriented, with strong financial acumen, effective communication skills, and a track record of driving results and operational improvements.
