Job Overview – Director, Value Creation
Compensation: $200,000–$300,000/year + bonus
Location: Greater Philadelphia, PA
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Atlantic Group is hiring a Director, Value Creation in Greater Philadelphia, PA for our client, supporting finance transformation and operational value creation within a private equity environment. This senior-level role will partner with finance and business leaders on financial infrastructure, reporting, M&A integration, systems, controls, and strategic finance initiatives. The ideal candidate has significant senior finance leadership experience with a strong background in private equity-backed businesses, technical accounting, M&A, and finance transformation.
Responsibilities as the Director of Finance Transformation:
- Finance Leadership: Partner with finance and business leaders to assess financial operations, reporting processes, controls, systems, and organizational needs.
- Value Creation: Lead finance transformation and value creation initiatives focused on improving financial planning, reporting, operational efficiency, and scalable processes.
- M&A Support: Support acquisition-related finance activities, integrations, and other strategic initiatives across portfolio businesses.
- Systems & Infrastructure: Drive improvements to ERP systems, finance technology, automation, data quality, and accounting processes.
- Organizational Development: Support the development of finance functions and provide strategic financial leadership during periods of growth and change.
- Financial Readiness: Strengthen financial reporting, controls, processes, and overall finance capabilities to support evolving business objectives.
Qualifications for the Director of Finance Transformation:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required, CPA certification is preferred.
- Experience: 15+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including senior-level financial leadership within private equity-backed, portfolio, or similarly complex business environments, is required.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of private equity environments, finance transformation, M&A, financial reporting, integration, and operational value creation is required.
- Technical Skills: Strong U.S. GAAP, technical accounting, purchase accounting, financial planning, financial reporting, ERP implementation, and finance systems expertise is required.
- Skills & Attributes: Strong executive presence, financial leadership, communication, strategic thinking, hands-on problem-solving, stakeholder management, and ability to lead initiatives across multiple businesses simultaneously are required.
