Job Overview – Director of Finance
Compensation: $160,000–$180,000/year + bonus
Location: Easton, PA
Schedule: Monday to Friday (In-Office)
Atlantic Group is hiring a Director of Finance in Easton, PA for our client, leading financial planning and analysis, operational finance, cost accounting, and financial reporting within a manufacturing environment. This role will own budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, profitability analysis, and business performance while partnering closely with senior leadership and operations. The ideal candidate has 8+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience with strong FP&A, manufacturing finance, cost accounting, ERP, and people management expertise.
Responsibilities as the Director of Finance:
- Financial Planning & Analysis: Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, variance analysis, and financial performance reporting.
- Operational Finance: Partner with business leaders to evaluate financial performance, profitability, investments, and operational priorities.
- Cost Accounting: Oversee cost accounting, inventory analysis, margins, and related financial activities.
- Financial Reporting: Deliver financial reporting, analysis, and business insights while supporting recurring close and reporting activities.
- Team Leadership: Lead and develop finance professionals while strengthening collaboration, accountability, and financial processes.
- Process Improvement: Improve financial systems, reporting, forecasting, controls, and overall finance operations.
Qualifications for the Director of Finance:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required, CPA or CMA is preferred.
- Experience: 8+ years of progressive finance or accounting experience, including FP&A and finance leadership experience, is required.
- Industry Knowledge: Manufacturing experience is required, with strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, inventory, financial analysis, and financial reporting.
- Technical Skills: Advanced Microsoft Excel and ERP system experience are required, with financial modeling and reporting systems experience preferred.
- Skills & Attributes: Strong financial leadership, analytical, communication, business partnership, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills are required.
