Job Overview – Director of Accounting:
Lead essential financial operations as the Director of Accounting for our client in Tampa, FL. In this on-site role, you'll manage the financial health of the association, oversee financial statements and strategic planning, and lead a team of accounting professionals.
Compensation: $85,000 – $100,000/year
Location: Tampa, FL
Schedule: Monday to Friday (On-Site)
Responsibilities as the Director of Accounting:
- Assessments: Oversee the collection of assessments and actively resolve delinquent accounts.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial statements and general ledger reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Payment Processing: Manage vendor payments and handle tax payments for the association.
- Budget Management: Assist departments with the development, review, and maintenance of annual budgets, ensuring adherence to internal controls.
- Stakeholder Interaction: Interface professionally with Board Members, community residents, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications for the Director of Accounting:
- Experience: 5-7 years of experience in Accounting or Finance roles.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience with software “SINC”.
- Skills: Strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a strong personality.
- Certification: CPA not required.
