Job Overview – Director, Client Finance
Compensation: $130,000–$160,000/year + bonus
Location: New York, NY
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Atlantic Group is hiring a Director, Client Finance in New York, NY for our client, leading commercial finance, client financial management, revenue forecasting, and contract oversight within a global corporate environment. This role will manage client P&Ls, support commercial and contract negotiations, oversee financial reporting and fee management, and partner with senior stakeholders on strategic client relationships. The ideal candidate has significant client finance experience within a global media or advertising agency and a strong background in commercial finance and team leadership.
Responsibilities as the Director, Client Finance:
- Client Finance: Lead financial management for client relationships while serving as a strategic finance partner to internal teams and key stakeholders.
- Commercial Finance: Support pricing, financial terms, contracts, and other commercial initiatives to drive effective financial decision-making.
- P&L Management: Oversee client profitability, revenue forecasting, financial performance, costs, and related financial activity.
- Financial Reporting: Manage recurring financial reporting, analysis, and forecasting while ensuring accuracy and transparency.
- Financial Oversight: Monitor financial requirements, identify risks, and collaborate with internal teams on financial and operational matters.
- Team Leadership: Lead and develop finance professionals while improving financial processes, reporting, and commercial performance.
Qualifications for the Director, Client Finance:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is required.
- Experience: 7+ years of progressive client finance, commercial finance, FP&A, or related financial management experience is required.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of client finance, pricing, forecasting, revenue management, P&L management, and commercial operations is required.
- Technical Skills: Advanced Microsoft Excel, financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting skills are required, with financial systems experience preferred.
- Skills & Attributes: Strong leadership, commercial judgment, communication, negotiation, analytical, organizational, and stakeholder management skills are required.
