Job Overview – Corporate Tax Manager (Hybrid):
Step into the role of Corporate Tax Manager in Philadelphia, PA, where you will lead a team of tax professionals, managing tax compliance and reporting for federal, state, and local requirements. This hybrid role emphasizes leadership, mentorship, and ensuring accurate and timely tax filings.
Compensation: $130,000 – $140,000/year + bonus
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Responsibilities as the Corporate Tax Manager:
- Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of tax professionals, ensuring timely and efficient work delivery.
- Tax Compliance: Oversee federal, state, and local tax filings, ensuring compliance with relevant laws.
- Financial Reporting: Manage GAAP and STAT tax accounting processes, including tax footnotes and disclosures.
- Tax Provisions: Analyze and prepare tax calculations, supporting reconciliations, and audit footnotes.
- Audit Support: Liaise with external auditors and assist with IRS and state audit responses.
- Special Projects: Assist with various tax duties and projects within the department.
Qualifications for the Corporate Tax Manager:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (MS in Taxation preferred), CPA preferred.
- Experience: 5+ years in Public or Corporate Tax, with a preference for Big 4 experience and STAT knowledge.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of federal/state tax and GAAP tax accounting guidelines; ASC 740 experience required.
- Skills: Leadership abilities, strong Excel skills, proficiency with OneSource and Sage Fixed Asset Software preferred.
- Other: Experience in mergers and acquisitions, SALT, and multi-state tax returns is a plus.
