Job Overview – Corporate Controller (Management Company):
Compensation: $225,000 – $250,000/year + bonus
Location: New York, NY
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Atlantic Group is hiring a Corporate Controller (Management Company) for our client in New York, NY. In this hybrid role, you will oversee all management company accounting functions for a growing financial services firm, including revenue, payables/receivables, cash management, and compensation. You will lead financial controls, forecasting, and budgeting while driving process and technology improvements to enhance efficiency, scalability, and compliance across the organization.
Responsibilities as the Corporate Controller (Management Company):
- Accounting Leadership: Oversee all management company accounting functions, including close processes, revenue, payables/receivables, compensation, and cash management across global offices.
- Financial Controls & Compliance: Establish and maintain accounting policies, internal controls, and compliance standards.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Partner with the CFO to set benchmarks, budgets, forecasts, and financial monitoring standards.
- Operational Efficiency: Lead finance transformation initiatives by implementing new systems, streamlining processes, and enhancing workflows.
- Management Reporting: Prepare monthly reporting packages with forecasts, variance analyses, and cash flow projections.
- Strategic & Business Support: Provide financial analysis for new business initiatives and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive growth and cost efficiency.
Qualifications for the Corporate Controller (Management Company):
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required (Master’s degree preferred).
- Certification: Active CPA required.
- Experience: 10-20 years of controller experience in financial services or asset management, with expertise in management company accounting.
- Technical Skills: Advanced Excel and ERP/accounting system proficiency, with preferred experience in finance transformation and technology implementations.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of management company structures, intercompany allocations, transfer pricing, and financial reporting in a multi-entity environment.
- Skills & Attributes: Exceptional leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams, drive change, and communicate effectively with executive leadership.
