Compensation: $200,000 – $250,000/year + bonus
Location: Boston, MA 
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)

Atlantic Group is hiring a Corporate Controller in Boston, MA for our client, supporting corporate accounting, financial reporting, and global finance operations within an alternative asset management environment. This role focuses on overseeing general ledger, close processes, and financial reporting while partnering with cross-functional teams on revenue recognition, budgeting, and strategic initiatives. The position requires strong GAAP knowledge, leadership experience, and the ability to manage global teams and processes.

Responsibilities as the Corporate Controller:

  • Financial Reporting: Oversee monthly close and prepare financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Corporate Accounting: Manage general ledger, expense accounting, intercompany transactions, and liquidity forecasting.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor accounting teams across multiple regions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Revenue Recognition: Partner with internal teams to support fee calculations and revenue accounting processes.
  • Audit and Compliance: Support internal and external audits while maintaining strong internal controls.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement enhancements to reporting, systems, and operational workflows.

Qualifications for the Corporate Controller:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required, CPA is preferred.
  • Experience: 10+ years of accounting experience, including public accounting and alternative asset management exposure, is required.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and corporate accounting within financial services is required.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems such as Workday are required.
  • Skills & Attributes: Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage global teams and deadlines are required.
