Job Overview – Corporate Accounting Manager
Compensation: $90,000 – $100,000/year + bonus
Location: Chester County, PA
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Atlantic Group is hiring a Corporate Accounting Manager in Chester County, PA for our client, supporting general accounting operations, Workday optimization initiatives, and accounting process improvements within a corporate accounting environment. This hybrid role will partner closely with accounting leadership and operational teams to enhance Workday functionality, improve close processes, and support day-to-day accounting activities. The ideal candidate is process-oriented, technically strong, and experienced leveraging Workday within accounting and finance environments.
Responsibilities as the Corporate Accounting Manager:
- General Accounting Oversight: Support general ledger accounting, reconciliations, financial reporting, and month-end close activities.
- Workday System Administration: Serve as a subject matter expert for Workday accounting and finance functionality, supporting optimization and process improvements.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows, reporting processes, and system utilization.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and support junior accounting staff while assisting with workflow management and operational oversight.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with finance, accounting, and operational teams to support accounting system enhancements and reporting initiatives.
- Reporting & Analysis: Assist with financial analysis, reporting support, and accounting process documentation as needed.
Qualifications for the Corporate Accounting Manager:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience within corporate accounting, public accounting, or related financial environments is required.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of general accounting, month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting processes is required.
- Technical Skills: Workday experience is required, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Skills & Attributes: Strong analytical skills, communication abilities, leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to improve operational processes are required.
