Atlantic Group is hiring a Corporate Accountant (Fixed Assets) in Stamford, CT for our client, supporting accounting operations, fixed asset management, and financial reporting within an asset-heavy, regulated environment. This role focuses on managing the full lifecycle of fixed asset accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, and reconciliation processes, while partnering closely with finance and operations teams. The position offers high visibility, exposure to senior leadership, and the opportunity to grow into broader corporate accounting responsibilities.

Responsibilities as the Corporate Accountant (Fixed Assets):

  • Month-End Close: Own fixed asset close process including reconciliations, accruals, and variance analysis.
  • Fixed Asset Management: Maintain asset records including cost, depreciation, and disposals.
  • Capitalization: Determine capitalization vs. expense treatment in accordance with GAAP.
  • Reconciliations: Reconcile data across systems and financial records.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare asset-related financial schedules and reports.
  • Audit Support: Prepare workpapers and support audit processes.

Qualifications for the Corporate Accountant (Fixed Assets):

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required, CPA certification or progress towards CPA preferred.
  • Experience: 3–6 years of accounting experience, preferably within asset-heavy or fixed asset environments, is required.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of fixed asset accounting and US GAAP is required.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with NetSuite or Microsoft Dynamics 365 and strong Excel skills are required.
  • Skills & Attributes: Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage large datasets in a fast-paced environment are required.
