Compensation: $135,000 – $185,000/year + bonus

Atlantic Group is hiring a Controller (Remote) for our client, supporting accounting leadership and financial operations within a growing organization. In this fully remote role, you will oversee financial reporting, internal controls, audits, and system scalability while partnering closely with executive leadership to drive accurate insights and informed decision-making. This opportunity is ideal for a U.S.-based Controller who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments.

Responsibilities as the Controller (Remote):

  • Accounting Operations Leadership: Oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and banking activities.
  • Financial Reporting & Forecasting: Prepare and review accurate financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow analyses.
  • Internal Controls & Compliance: Develop and maintain internal controls while ensuring compliance with GAAP, audits, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strategic Partnership & KPIs: Partner with executive leadership to deliver financial insights, KPIs, and dashboards that support strategic decision-making.
  • Systems & Team Leadership: Lead accounting systems optimization and manage internal teams or outsourced partners to support scalable growth.

Qualifications for the Controller (Remote):

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required (CPA strongly preferred).
  • Experience: 5+ years of accounting or finance experience, including at least 2 years in a Controller or senior accounting leadership role.
  • Industry Exposure: Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial modeling, cash management, and month-end close processes, with experience in startup or high-growth environments preferred.
  • Systems Knowledge: Proficiency with ERP and accounting systems such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or comparable platforms.
  • Skills & Attributes: Highly analytical, detail-oriented professional with strong judgment, adaptability, and a proactive mindset, with proven ability to lead teams and communicate effectively with executive leadership.
