Job Overview – Controller (Manufacturing)
Join our client's team as a Controller and lead financial operations for a state-of-the-art medical manufacturer located in Philadelphia County, PA. This role offers a hybrid work schedule and the opportunity to oversee a dedicated team in a hands-off, private equity backed environment.

Compensation: $170,000.00 – $180,000.00 + bonus
Location: Philadelphia County, PA – Hybrid

Responsibilities of the Controller (Manufacturing) include:

  • Oversee all aspects of accounting operations, including the management of staff accountants, AP clerk, direct consumer billers, healthcare subscribers, and collection individuals.
  • Take full ownership of accounting processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Implement best practices and process improvements to streamline accounting operations and enhance efficiency.
  • Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, including financial statement preparation and analysis.
  • Drive financial reporting initiatives, including the adoption of SaaS accounting standards (ASC 606, ASC 842).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives and strategic initiatives.
  • Serve as a key advisor to senior management, providing insights and recommendations to optimize financial performance.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, providing leadership and mentorship to accounting staff.

Qualifications of the Controller (Manufacturing) include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA preferred.
  • Strong background in SaaS accounting standards (ASC 606, ASC 842).
  • Experience in a combination of corporate accounting and management roles; no straight public accounting background.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with a track record of managing and mentoring accounting teams.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Proven ability to drive process improvements and enhance operational efficiency.
