Job Overview – Controller (Investment Management):
 Compensation: $140,000 – $150,000/year + bonus
 Location: Delaware County, PA
 Schedule: Monday to Friday (In-Office)
Atlantic Group is hiring a Controller (Investment Management) in Delaware County, PA for our client. This in-office leadership role oversees financial reporting, compliance, and audits while improving operational efficiency. You will manage accounting operations, enhance internal controls, and partner with senior leadership to drive growth. Expertise in GAAP, investment or real estate accounting, and property-level reporting is required, with Yardi and Microsoft Excel proficiency preferred.
Responsibilities as the Controller (Investment Management):
- Financial Oversight: Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
- Compliance & Reporting: Manage audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting to ensure full compliance and accuracy.
- Accounting Operations: Oversee general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, and portfolio-level accounting activities.
- Internal Controls: Establish and maintain strong accounting policies, procedures, and control frameworks.
- Leadership & Development: Mentor and manage accounting staff, fostering professional growth and accountability.
- Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with senior leadership on financial planning, risk management, and process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications for the Controller (Investment Management):
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required (Master’s degree preferred).
- Licensure: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
- Experience: 10+ years in accounting with 5+ in leadership, preferably within investment management, real estate investment, or private equity.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Yardi and Microsoft Excel with preferred experience in financial reporting systems and ERP platforms.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of GAAP, real estate investment reporting, property-level performance metrics, and acquisition accounting.
- Skills & Attributes: Strategic and analytical leader with strong communication, team management, and problem-solving skills focused on achieving long-term financial goals.
