Role Overview:
Our client, a leading provider of transportation services, is seeking a Compensation and Retirement Plan Manager to oversee the administration and compliance of U.S. retirement plans. This role will be based in their Boston office with a hybrid schedule requiring at least three days per week on-site.

Compensation: $110,000.00 – $120,000.00
Location: Boston, Massachusetts (Hybrid)

Responsibilities of the Compensation and Retirement Plan Manager include:
•    Manage end-to-end operations of our client's U.S. retirement plans (80% of role)
•    Partner with plan administrators to ensure accurate contributions, distributions, plan amendments, and regulatory compliance
•    Execute nondiscrimination testing, 5500 filings, and annual audits
•    Serve as liaison between participants, beneficiaries, consultants, and administrators
•    Design and implement participant education materials and meetings
•    Evaluate plan investment options and recommend design changes
•    Assist with the implementation and communication of the Non-Qualified Deferred Compensation plan
•    Oversee annual compensation review process and maintain salary/job grading framework (20% of role)
•    Advise on ad hoc salary benchmarking and review internal equity
•    Run monthly audits to ensure system accuracy and sync with Payroll
•    Implement new Union 401k and pension plans for new contracts
•    Prepare mandatory reporting and monitor participant data/metric

Qualifications of the Compensation and Retirement Plan Manager include:
•    Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, HR or a related field
•    5+ years of experience in retirement plan administration and analysis
•    Strong knowledge of defined contribution, defined benefit, and multi-employer plans
•    Experience with 5500s, nondiscrimination testing, audits, and plan documents
•    Familiarity with implementing new retirement plans highly desired
•    Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas)
•    Experience with UKG and PeopleStrategy Workforce a plus
•    Exceptional communication, customer service, and problem-solving abilities
•    Highly organized with keen attention to detail
•    Ability to perform complex calculations and analysis
•    Commitment to maintaining strict confidentiality
