Atlantic Group is hiring a Client Accounting Manager (Fund Administration) in New York, NY for our client, supporting client engagement, fund accounting oversight, and financial reporting within a private equity and venture capital environment. This role focuses on managing client relationships, overseeing fund accounting processes, and ensuring accurate capital account maintenance and reporting. The Client Accounting Manager will collaborate with internal teams and utilize Excel and accounting systems to drive operational efficiency and deliver high-quality client service.

Responsibilities as the Client Accounting Manager (Fund Administration):

  • Client Management: Serve as the primary point of contact, managing client relationships and expectations.
  • Fund Accounting Oversight: Supervise fund accounting activities including capital accounts and financial reporting.
  • Engagement Management: Oversee multiple client engagements, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of services.
  • Audit & Tax Coordination: Manage audit and tax processes in coordination with external providers and internal teams.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and develop junior staff while supporting client deliverables.

Qualifications for the Client Accounting Manager (Fund Administration):

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics is required (CPA is preferred).
  • Experience: 4–8 years of experience in public accounting, fund administration, or private equity or venture capital accounting is required.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of partnership accounting, fund structures, and private equity or venture capital operations is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting systems such as QuickBooks or similar platforms is preferred.
  • Skills & Attributes: Demonstrates strong communication, leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple client engagements in a fast-paced environment.
