Job Overview – Business Development Associate
Compensation: $90,000–$110,000/year + bonus
Location: New York, NY
Schedule: Monday to Friday (In-Office, Frequent Travel)
Atlantic Group is hiring a Business Development Associate in New York, NY for our client, supporting client relationship management, new business development, market research, and strategic growth initiatives within commercial real estate and financial services. This client-facing role will work closely with senior leadership to strengthen existing relationships, identify prospective clients and partners, and translate market intelligence into actionable business development opportunities. The ideal candidate has 2–4 years of experience in business development, investor relations, client relations, marketing, or financial services with strong communication skills and a polished professional presence.
Responsibilities as the Business Development Associate:
- Client Relationships: Support client meetings, outreach, relationship management, and ongoing engagement with prospective and existing business partners.
- Business Development: Research and identify prospective clients and new business opportunities while supporting targeted outreach and relationship development.
- Market Research: Monitor industry and market activity to identify trends, prospective opportunities, and relevant business insights.
- Sales & Marketing Support: Prepare presentations, client communications, marketing materials, and other resources that support business development initiatives.
- Client Engagement: Participate in meetings, events, and networking activities while coordinating follow-up and relationship-building efforts.
- CRM & Pipeline Management: Maintain CRM records, track relationships and opportunities, and monitor business development pipeline activity.
Qualifications for the Business Development Associate:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate, Marketing, Economics, or a related field is required.
- Experience: 2–4 years of business development, client relations, investor relations, financial services, real estate, marketing, or related client-facing experience is preferred.
- Industry Knowledge: Financial services, real estate, investment management, or related professional services experience is preferred, with knowledge of relationship-driven business development strongly valued.
- Technical Skills: Microsoft Office and CRM platform proficiency are required.
- Skills & Attributes: Strong communication, relationship-building, research, analytical, organizational, presentation, project management, and interpersonal skills are required.
