Job Overview – Business Analyst (Insurance):
Join our client’s Westport, CT team as a Business Analyst, focusing on optimizing in-force business blocks and driving insights within insurance and reinsurance. In this full-time role, you'll support operational efficiency, enhance the value proposition, and improve service delivery to clients and policyholders.
Compensation: $80,000 – $120,000/year + bonus
Location: Westport, CT
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM (In-Office)
Responsibilities as the Business Analyst:
- Data Analysis: Gather, analyze, and interpret large datasets to evaluate case manager performance and KPI adherence, supporting business goals and SLAs.
- Reporting: Develop, maintain, and automate reports using SQL, Power BI, and Excel, focusing on performance metrics, trend analysis, and strategic insights.
- Process Improvement: Design scalable processes to streamline data collection and reporting, reducing manual work and enhancing operational efficiencies.
- Data Management: Oversee data architecture within Microsoft SQL Server, expanding control frameworks and ensuring structured data presentation through dashboards.
Qualifications for the Business Analyst:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Engineering, Computer Science, Finance, Economics, or IT required.
- Experience: 2-5 years as a Business Analyst within insurance or financial services required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel, SQL, Power BI, with experience in KPI and SLA development and tracking.
- Attributes: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, detail-oriented, and capable of presenting data effectively.
- Other Skills: Excellent communication abilities, capable of independent and collaborative work in a dynamic environment.
