Job Overview – Associate Fund Accountant (Direct Lending):
Join our client’s Direct Lending team in Greenwich, CT, as an Associate Fund Accountant (Hybrid), driving fund accounting, financial reporting, and investor services. In this role, you will manage fund-level reporting, investor allocations, and regulatory compliance, while supporting capital calls, NAV calculations, and portfolio analytics. Utilize your expertise in U.S. GAAP and fund structures to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and overall financial operations.
Compensation: $110,000 – $135,000/year + bonus
Location: Greenwich, CT
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Responsibilities as the Associate Fund Accountant (Direct Lending):
- Financial Reporting & Close: Manage month/quarter-end close, prepare NAV packages, and calculate performance metrics.
- Fund Administration & Compliance: Maintain fund records, oversee partner allocations, and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Fee Calculations & Capital Management: Calculate management fees, coordinate capital calls, and manage fund distributions.
- Reconciliation & Portfolio Analysis: Perform trade/cash reconciliations, resolve discrepancies, and verify portfolio pricing.
- Investor Reporting & Audit: Prepare financial statements, support audits, and handle investor inquiries.
- Expense Management & Budgeting: Allocate expenses, maintain records, and forecast fund budgets.
Qualifications for the Associate Fund Accountant (Direct Lending):
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Certification: CPA preferred.
- Experience: 3-5 years in public or private accounting, preferably from Big 4 firms with strong performance ratings.
- Technical Accounting Expertise: Strong foundation in U.S. GAAP with exposure to private equity or direct lending fund structures.
- Analytical & Communication Skills: Critical thinker with strong quantitative abilities, capable of clearly articulating financial insights in both written and verbal communication.
- Technology & Automation: Advanced Excel proficiency is required, with experience in Investran, Alteryx, Anaplan, or Power BI preferred.
- Attributes: Highly organized, proactive, and adaptable, with a strong work ethic and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
