Compensation: $125,000 – $150,000/year + bonus

Atlantic Group is hiring an Assistant Controller (Corporate Accounting) in Westchester County, NY for our client. This role supports the Controller and CFO in financial reporting, debt compliance, and treasury management while ensuring GAAP compliance. You’ll oversee month-end close, prepare financial analyses, and collaborate across departments on strategic initiatives. Ideal for CPAs with public accounting experience and strong reporting and treasury expertise.

Responsibilities as the Assistant Controller (Corporate Accounting):

  • Financial Reporting: Manage corporate accounting and reporting activities, ensuring accuracy and GAAP compliance.
  • Debt Compliance: Prepare debt covenant reports and maintain strong relationships with banks and lenders.
  • Audit Coordination: Lead audit preparation and responses, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
  • Financial Analysis: Partner with leadership to perform variance analyses and deliver key financial insights.
  • Forecasting & Planning: Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management to guide strategic decisions.

Qualifications for the Assistant Controller (Corporate Accounting):

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
  • Licensure: CPA required.
  • Experience: 7-10 years of accounting or financial reporting experience, including 2+ years in public accounting, with preferred experience in real estate or leasing.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and the full Office Suite, with preferred experience in NetSuite or comparable ERP systems.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, debt and treasury management, and corporate consolidations.
  • Skills & Attributes: Analytical and detail-oriented leader with strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, adept at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
