Hourly Rate Range: $50,000-$60,000
Location: Boston, MA
We are looking for someone who will perform a variety of accounting, finance and other tasks related to our partner’s business. The focus will be to maintain the day-to-day operations of the accounting department.
Skills:
- Review monthly financial statements, capital account statements and all related supporting schedules and ensure all transactions are recorded in accordance with adopted accounting policies
- Review and analyze cash flow analysis, periodic forecasts, and budgeting aspects of the business
- Present monthly financial statement results to senior management and make recommendations on improving profitability
- Accounting process standardization and oversight/approval
- Develop, implement and maintain accounting policies and procedures
- Assist with annual management company audits and quarterly tax filings
- Maintaining and updating various schedules for revenue collections and expense reporting
- Review employee expense reports as needed
Qualifications and Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting / finance or related field
- 5+ years of experience working in financial, accounting, and analytical roles – private debt/equity or hedge fund experience a plus
- CPA required
- 3+ years in accounting supervision
- Advanced proficiency with Excel
- Solid understanding of GAAP – experience using accounting systems a plus
- Effective written and verbal communication skills. Team oriented personality
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities
