Job Overview – Analyst/Senior Analyst (Treasury & Trade Finance):
Depending on experience, join as either an Analyst or Senior Analyst within the Treasury and Trade Finance team, within a diversified, global commodities trading and investment management client of ours based in New York, NY. In this position, you will analyze and allocate the liquidity impact of trading activities while collaborating across teams to implement a Time Value of Money/DCF model, driving efficient management of financial resources and processes.

Compensation: $110,000 – $180,000/year + bonus
Location: New York, NY
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)

Responsibilities as the Analyst/Senior Analyst:

  • Liquidity Analysis: Quantify day-to-day fluctuations in House liquidity caused by trading activities and allocate associated costs/benefits to traders and books.
  • Collaboration: Partner with Front Office teams to understand trading activities, business models, and liquidity usage patterns.
  • Process Automation: Work closely with Technology, Middle Office, and Back Office teams to automate Liquidity Forecasting Models, processes and enhance data integrity.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Present results and trends in liquidity management to senior stakeholders and the Front Office.
  • Treasury Support: Assist with tasks related to funding, liquidity, FX, and cash management as needed.
  • Policy Impact: Support Finance and Treasury teams by helping business and support divisions understand policies and their implications.

Qualifications for the Analyst/Senior Analyst:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or Mathematics.
  • Experience: 3-5 years in Financial roles with a focus on analytics, financial modeling, and liquidity finance.
  • Industry Knowledge: Direct experience in the commodities industry is highly preferred, with strong understanding of derivative and commodity markets, trade finance/liquidity, DCF modeling, and risk exposure.
  • Skills: Strong research, documentation, and resolution skills with excellent communication and client service abilities, proven in collaboration.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in financial reporting systems and tools.
