Atlantic Group is hiring an Accounts Receivable/Collections Specialist for our client in Montgomery County, PA. In this in-office role, you’ll play a key part in managing AR functions across multiple accounts, ensuring timely collections, and supporting financial operations through detailed reporting, reconciliations, and cross-department collaboration. Ideal for candidates with strong law firm experience and a sharp, detail-oriented, analytical mindset.
Responsibilities as the Accounts Receivable/Collections Specialist:
- AR Tracking & Reconciliation: Maintain detailed spreadsheets and databases of outstanding receivables, ensuring accuracy across client records.
- Collections & Communication: Liaise with clients and attorneys to monitor payment status, resolve discrepancies, and improve collection timelines.
- Reporting & Analysis: Prepare AR reports and key collection metrics for leadership, including the COO, Administrative Partner, and firm Partners.
- Month-End Close Support: Assist with financial close processes, reconciliations, and ad hoc reporting and analysis.
- Payment Processing & Banking: Support ACH and credit card transactions, and reconcile multiple bank accounts accurately.
- Client Onboarding Support: Review new client Opening Sheets to ensure accurate billing and documentation setup.
Qualifications for the Accounts Receivable/Collections Specialist:
- Education: Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business required.
- Experience: 3-5 years of hands-on accounts receivable experience, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting and legal billing software (e.g., Juris, CenterBase), Excel, and document management systems such as NetDocs.
- Skills & Attributes: Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate effectively, manage priorities, and maintain professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
