Atlantic Group is hiring an Accounts Payable Manager for our client in Reading, PA (Hybrid). Step into a key leadership role where you will manage a high-performing team, oversee the full AP cycle, and drive system enhancements to ensure accurate financial operations and compliance. This position is ideal for an experienced AP professional with strong job costing knowledge, leadership skills, and a passion for process improvement.

Responsibilities as the Accounts Payable Manager:

  • Team Management & Leadership: Supervise, train, and develop AP staff, conducting performance reviews to foster a high-performance culture.
  • Invoice Processing & Oversight: Oversee accurate and timely processing of invoices, job cost adjustments, employee expenses, and credit card transactions.
  • Compliance & Controls: Ensure adherence to internal policies, GAAP, and industry standards while supporting audits and financial reviews.
  • Vendor Relations & Communication: Maintain positive vendor relationships and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Payment & Cash Flow Management: Approve payment batches, manage AP aging reports, and ensure timely disbursements to optimize cash flow.
  • Process Improvement & Efficiency: Lead automation and system enhancements to streamline AP operations and improve accuracy.

Qualifications for the Accounts Payable Manager:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of proven experience managing accounts payable in a leadership role, with hands-on expertise in full-cycle AP and job costing.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Vista), AP software, and Microsoft Excel, with strong data analysis capabilities.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles, AP regulations, and process optimization best practices.
  • Skills & Attributes: Strategic thinker with strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, capable of leading teams, driving improvements, and engaging stakeholders at all levels.
