Job Overview – Accounts Payable Associate:
Compensation: $70,000 – $75,000/year + bonus
Location: Boston, MA
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Join our client’s finance team as an Accounts Payable Associate in Boston, MA (Hybrid), overseeing full-cycle invoice processing, vendor payments, and collaboration with tax and legal teams. Ideal candidates bring AP experience, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with Workday in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Responsibilities as the Accounts Payable Associate:
- Invoice Processing: Accurately process and verify third-party invoices, ensuring data integrity for AP records.
- Full-Cycle AP Management: Oversee the end-to-end invoice lifecycle, from receipt and validation to approval and payment.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Accounting, Finance, Legal, and Tax teams to ensure accurate coding and compliance.
- Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies, payment delays, and policy-related inquiries.
- Vendor & Audit Support: Coordinate with offshore processors and assist with audits and ad hoc financial projects.
Qualifications for the Accounts Payable Associate:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting, ideally within a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with preferred experience using Workday for financial processes.
- Skills & Attributes: Detail-oriented and organized with strong problem-solving and time management skills, and the ability to work both independently and cross-functionally.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with general accounting principles, invoice processing best practices, and vendor management protocols.
