Position Overview – Senior Accountant:
In the role of Senior Accountant in Boston, Massachusetts, you will be responsible for various financial and accounting tasks, including quarterly close processes, financial analysis, external audit support, policy establishment, and process improvement. Your work will be pivotal in ensuring accurate financial reporting and supporting strategic decision-making.

Compensation: $90,000.00 – $100,000.00 + Bonus
Location: Boston, Massachusetts

Responsibilities as the Senior Accountant include:

  • Contribute to the quarterly close process by preparing and reviewing closing, accrual, and depreciation entries to ensure accurate financial reporting

  • Prepare and review monthly balance sheet account reconciliations, P&L trending analysis, and management reporting, aiding in the assessment of financial health

  • Collaborate with external auditors during the annual audit and work with the tax team to facilitate reporting, filings, and K-1 packages

  • Play a pivotal role in establishing effective accounting policies, procedures, and an internal control framework, ensuring compliance and accuracy

  • Assist in continuous process improvement initiatives, with a focus on Oracle NetSuite and Concur, to enhance operational efficiency

  • Coordinate various work streams with LeverPoint, ensuring timely delivery of supporting documentation to maintain a smooth workflow

  • Prepare cash, investment, revenue, and expense analysis reports for senior management to support strategic decision-making

  • Generate and review portfolio company, fund/holding company, and employee billing, contributing to financial transparency

  • Demonstrate a self-starter mentality, adaptability, and effective communication skills in a work environment

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance; advanced degree or certification is a plus

  • 3-6 years of experience in a corporate or public accounting role, preferably in private equity or financial services

  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP requirements

  • Technologically savvy with advanced MS Excel skills; Oracle NetSuite and Concur experience is a plus
