Accounting Supervisor

Responsibilities

 

  • Revise checks, wire transfers, investment transactions and other general ledger transactions regularly for high net-worth clients
  • Look over weekly cash account balance updates and guarantee all client accounts are adequately funded
  • Rereading journal entries for payroll, investments, asset purchases, accruals, depreciation, prepaids, credit cards and other multifaceted dealings
  • Preparing/reviewing bank reconciliations and other general ledger accounts
  • Preparing and analyzing monthly income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
  • Preparing/reviewing budgeting to actual expenses on a monthly basis
  • Preparing/reviewing ad-hoc financial analysis reports as needed
  • Preparing/reviewing reports summarizing investment performance and ensure investment activity is recorded as applicable
  • Communicating and coordinating with clients, as well as vendors, bankers, insurance brokers and attorneys as appropriate
  • Assisting in development of process innovations to streamline work and/or add new forms of value to cash management and financial reporting function
  • Assisting in reviewing and obtaining personal and corporate insurance policies by coordinating with insurance brokers and clients as well as preparing and maintaining summary schedules and reference sheets
  • Liaising and corresponding with Tax Department as needed
  • Preparing/reviewing/compiling tax schedules; including sales tax
  • Preparing/reviewing annual 1099 Forms
  • Supervising and training staff in the cash management and financial reporting processes

 

Requirements

 

  • BA or corresponding obligatory in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
  • 5-8 years accounting experience working with a variation of clients
  • Concrete Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word)
  • Guarantee efficient and timely deliverables; adapt quickly to an intense and changing environment.
  • CFP®, CPA or other professional designations
  • Microsoft Dynamics (FKA Solomon) experience
  • Experience with Concur /Gram or other credit card platforms
  • Tax preparation experience
