Job Overview – Director of Grants Management
Compensation: $150,000–$160,000/year

Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Atlantic Group is hiring a Director of Grants Management in New York, NY for our client, overseeing grant administration, financial operations, and fiscal compliance within a nonprofit organization. This role will focus primarily on post-award grants management, including expenditure tracking, financial reporting, and funding compliance, while supporting broader accounting and operational initiatives. The Director will collaborate with finance leadership, provide oversight and guidance to grants accounting staff, and improve financial processes across departments.
Responsibilities as the Director of Grants Management:
- Grants Management: Oversee grant administration, financial reporting, expenditure tracking, and compliance with funding requirements.
- Financial Compliance: Ensure grant-related financial activities comply with applicable regulations, policies, and reporting standards.
- Financial Operations: Support accounting activities, financial reconciliations, budgeting, and operational reporting.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve grants management processes, financial controls, and operational efficiency.
- Team Leadership: Provide guidance to accounting staff and collaborate with internal teams to support financial operations.
Qualifications for the Director of Grants Management:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
- Experience: 8+ years of nonprofit finance, accounting, grants management, or related financial operations experience is required.
- Grants Management: Experience with grant administration, financial reporting, expenditure tracking, and funding compliance is required.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of nonprofit accounting, grant funding requirements, and financial management practices is required.
- Project Management: Experience managing financial projects, deadlines, and process improvements is required.
- Technical Skills: Advanced Excel proficiency and experience with accounting software and financial reporting systems are required.
