Job Overview – Investment Banking Analyst
Compensation: $75,000 – $85,000/year + bonus
Location: Greater Philadelphia, PA
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Atlantic Group is hiring an Investment Banking Analyst in Greater Philadelphia, PA for our client, supporting middle-market M&A, restructuring, financing, and other transaction advisory engagements. This role will provide hands-on exposure throughout the deal lifecycle, including financial modeling, company analysis, due diligence, transaction execution, and direct collaboration with senior bankers, clients, and investors. The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of investment banking, transaction advisory, valuation, accounting, or related finance experience with strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
Responsibilities as the Investment Banking Analyst:
- Transaction Execution: Support M&A, restructuring, financing, and other advisory transactions from initial analysis through closing.
- Financial Modeling: Build and maintain financial models, valuation analyses, and transaction-related financial analyses to support deal execution.
- Due Diligence: Analyze financial statements, operating performance, company information, and transaction data while supporting diligence activities.
- Market Research: Conduct company, industry, and market research to support transaction strategy and financial analysis.
- Deal Materials: Prepare financial analyses, transaction materials, presentations, and other documentation for senior bankers, clients, and investors.
- Client & Deal Support: Coordinate transaction activities while working closely with senior team members and external stakeholders throughout the deal process.
Qualifications for the Investment Banking Analyst:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1+ years of investment banking, transaction advisory, valuation, accounting, corporate finance, or related experience is preferred, with 6+ months of relevant experience considered.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience analyzing financial statements, transactions, valuations, or commercial businesses is required, with M&A, restructuring, transaction services, or investment banking exposure preferred.
- Technical Skills: Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong financial modeling capabilities are required, along with proficiency in PowerPoint and financial analysis.
- Skills & Attributes: Strong analytical, quantitative, communication, writing, interpersonal, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a transaction-driven environment are required.
