Job Overview – Senior Accountant
Compensation: $85,000–$100,000/year

Schedule: Monday to Friday (In-Office)
Atlantic Group is hiring a Senior Accountant in Montgomery County, PA for our client, supporting general ledger accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, month-end close, and audit activities within a growing manufacturing and consumer products environment. This role will support domestic and international accounting operations while partnering across the organization to maintain accurate financial reporting and strengthen accounting processes. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of accounting experience with recent manufacturing or consumer products industry experience and a strong knowledge of US GAAP.
Responsibilities as the Senior Accountant:
- Month-End Close: Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, prepaids, deferrals, and supporting schedules to facilitate accurate monthly and year-end close.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare recurring financial reports and analysis while supporting domestic and international accounting activities.
- General Ledger: Maintain general ledger accuracy, perform account reconciliations, resolve discrepancies, and ensure financial information complies with US GAAP.
- Intercompany Accounting: Support intercompany reporting, reconciliations, master data maintenance, and related accounting activities across business operations.
- Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits by preparing documentation, researching accounting matters, and responding to audit requests.
- Process Improvement: Partner cross-functionally to address accounting issues, improve processes, support ERP initiatives, and complete special accounting projects.
Qualifications for the Senior Accountant:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
- Experience: 5+ years of progressive accounting experience is required, including 2+ years of financial audit experience.
- Industry Knowledge: Recent manufacturing or consumer products accounting experience is required, along with strong knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting, general ledger accounting, and month-end close.
- Technical Skills: Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are required, with ERP experience and exposure to system implementations or migrations preferred.
- Skills & Attributes: Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, communication, attention to detail, and cross-functional collaboration skills are required.
