Compensation: $130,000 – $175,000/year + bonus
Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Remote)

Atlantic Group is hiring a Controller (Healthcare) in for our client, supporting accounting operations, financial reporting, healthcare revenue, acquisition integration, and financial analysis. The Controller will serve as a hands-on finance leader responsible for accounting across a multi-location outpatient healthcare organization while partnering closely with senior leadership on business performance and operational decisions. This role requires accounting experience within physician practices, outpatient clinics, or similar ambulatory healthcare environments.

Responsibilities as the Controller (Healthcare):

  • Accounting Operations: Oversee general ledger accounting, accounts payable, reconciliations, accruals, and month-end close activities.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements, management reporting, account analysis, and recurring financial schedules for leadership.
  • Healthcare Accounting: Support healthcare-related accounting activities, revenue reporting, accounts receivable, and coordination with internal finance teams.
  • Financial Planning: Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, KPI reporting, and financial analysis.
  • Accounting Processes: Strengthen accounting procedures, financial controls, reporting practices, and operational efficiency across the organization.
  • Systems & Automation: Improve accounting workflows, data quality, reporting, and financial systems through technology and automation.

Qualifications for the Controller (Healthcare):

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required, CPA certification is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including healthcare accounting experience, is required.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of healthcare accounting, financial reporting, U.S. GAAP, financial close, budgeting, and financial controls is required.
  • Location: Candidates must reside within the Philadelphia metropolitan area and be able to commute to the Philadelphia area as needed.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with accounting, financial reporting, and healthcare-related systems are required.
  • Skills & Attributes: Strong leadership, analytical, communication, problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills with the ability to partner across functions are required.
