Job Overview – Senior FP&A Associate
Compensation: $100,000 – $115,000/year + bonus
Location: New York, NY
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Atlantic Group is hiring a Senior FP&A Associate in New York, NY for our client, supporting financial planning, forecasting, financial modeling, and management reporting within an asset management environment. This role will analyze business performance, develop financial models, and provide insights that support strategic planning and executive decision-making. The ideal candidate brings strong financial analysis experience, advanced Excel skills, and exposure to asset management or investment funds.
Responsibilities as the Senior FP&A Associate:
- Financial Modeling: Build and maintain long-range financial models, forecasts, and scenario analyses to support strategic and capital planning.
- Performance Analysis: Analyze monthly financial results against budgets and prior periods while identifying key business and financial drivers.
- Business Analytics: Evaluate profitability, growth initiatives, financial metrics, and other performance trends across business and investment activities.
- Management Reporting: Prepare financial reports, presentations, and analysis to support senior leadership and other key stakeholders.
- Systems & Reporting: Support enhancements to forecasting and reporting processes, including the implementation and optimization of Workday Finance and related tools.
- Process Improvement: Strengthen financial planning processes, reporting workflows, models, and controls to improve efficiency and data integrity.
Qualifications for the Senior FP&A Associate:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required.
- Experience: 3–5 years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, asset management, investment management, or financial consulting is required.
- Industry Knowledge: Asset management or investment fund experience is preferred, with candidates from consulting or advisory backgrounds considered when they have relevant industry exposure and financial modeling experience.
- Technical Skills: Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills are required, with Workday Finance, ERP reporting, forecasting systems, and AI-enabled financial tools experience preferred.
- Skills & Attributes: Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, project management, and presentation skills with excellent attention to detail and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment.
