Job Overview – Accounting Senior Manager
Compensation: $150,000 – $160,000/year + bonus
Location: Wayne, PA
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Atlantic Group is hiring a Accounting Senior Manager in Wayne, PA for our client, supporting global financial consolidations, corporate accounting, financial reporting, and accounting systems implementation. This highly visible leadership role will oversee complex consolidation activities across multiple domestic and international entities while partnering closely with executive leadership on strategic finance initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring a combination of public accounting and corporate accounting experience, along with deep expertise in consolidations and financial reporting.
Responsibilities as the Accounting Senior Manager:
- Financial Consolidations: Lead the monthly and quarterly consolidation process for multiple domestic and international entities, including elimination entries, consolidation adjustments, and financial reporting.
- Corporate Accounting: Oversee month-end close activities, review journal entries and account reconciliations, analyze financial results, and ensure the accuracy of the general ledger.
- Systems Implementation: Lead the implementation and optimization of consolidation and financial reporting systems while improving accounting processes and internal controls.
- Financial Reporting & Compliance: Support internal and external financial reporting, coordinate audit requests, oversee compliance with accounting standards, and assist with technical accounting matters.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and develop corporate accounting staff while fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous process improvement.
- Strategic Finance Support: Partner with executive leadership on forecasting, financial planning, ad hoc analyses, and other corporate finance initiatives supporting organizational growth.
Qualifications for the Accounting Senior Manager:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Certification: CPA designation is preferred.
- Experience: 8–12 years of progressive accounting experience, including corporate consolidations, financial reporting, and at least 2 years of people leadership experience, is required.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP is required. Experience with IFRS, multinational consolidations, and public accounting is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel is required. Experience with SAP, Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), enterprise consolidation systems, or similar ERP and financial reporting platforms is preferred.
- Skills & Attributes: Strong leadership, analytical, communication, and project management skills with the ability to manage complex accounting processes, implement new systems, collaborate across global teams, and effectively support senior leadership.
