Job Overview – Vice President of Finance
Compensation: $150,000 – $200,000/year + bonus
Location: Hammonton, NJ
Schedule: Monday to Friday (In-Office)
Atlantic Group is hiring a Vice President of Finance in Hammonton, NJ for our client, supporting accounting, financial operations, budgeting, and strategic finance initiatives. This senior leadership role oversees corporate accounting, financial reporting, treasury management, and financial planning while partnering closely with executive leadership to strengthen business operations and support continued growth. The ideal candidate is a hands-on finance leader with a strong technical accounting background and experience leading accounting and finance functions within a dynamic organization.
Responsibilities as the Vice President of Finance:
- Financial Leadership: Oversee accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and treasury activities while ensuring accurate and timely financial information.
- Strategic Finance: Partner with executive leadership to provide financial analysis, support operational planning, and contribute to key business initiatives.
- Accounting & Compliance: Manage month-end and year-end close, external audits, internal controls, and GAAP compliance while enhancing accounting processes.
- Operational Improvement: Develop and improve financial systems, reporting processes, and operational workflows to increase efficiency and support business objectives.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team while fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with leaders across finance, operations, technology, and other business functions to support organizational goals and financial performance.
Qualifications for the Vice President of Finance:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. CPA is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including leadership within corporate finance, controllership, or executive finance roles, is required.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience leading accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and finance functions within a growing organization is required.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, Microsoft Excel, and ERP or financial management systems is required.
- Skills & Attributes: Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, develop financial processes, manage multiple priorities, and influence executive decision-making are required.
