Job Overview – Corporate Controller
Compensation: $140,000 – $160,000/year + bonus

Schedule: Monday to Friday (In-Office)
Atlantic Group is hiring a Corporate Controller in New York, NY for our client, supporting corporate accounting, treasury operations, financial reporting, and management company finance. This hands-on role oversees corporate accounting activities, budgeting, cash management, and financial reporting while partnering with cross-functional teams to support business operations and financial performance. The ideal candidate has a strong accounting foundation, experience within real estate or investment management, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities as the Corporate Controller:
- Corporate Accounting: Oversee general ledger activities, journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly financial reporting for corporate entities.
- Treasury & Cash Management: Manage cash activity, liquidity planning, intercompany transactions, and treasury operations while ensuring accurate financial records.
- Financial Reporting & Budgeting: Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and management reporting while supporting business planning and operational decision-making.
- Compliance & Regulatory Reporting: Coordinate tax filings, annual reporting, financial compliance, and relationships with external service providers and auditors.
- Vendor & Entity Management: Oversee vendor onboarding, payment processing, corporate entity administration, and financial documentation while maintaining strong internal controls.
Qualifications for the Corporate Controller:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Certification: CPA is required.
- Experience: 4–6 years of accounting experience within real estate, investment management, asset management, or a related financial services environment is required.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of GAAP, corporate accounting, treasury management, financial reporting, budgeting, and management company accounting is required.
- Technical Skills: Experience with QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and financial reporting systems is required.
- Skills & Attributes: Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, collaborate across departments, and maintain a high level of accuracy and professionalism are required.
