Compensation: $170,000 – $260,000/year + bonus
Location: Greater Philadelphia Area, PA
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)

Atlantic Group is hiring a Director of M&A in the Greater Philadelphia Area, PA for our client, supporting corporate development, transaction execution, financial modeling, strategic analysis, and inorganic growth initiatives. This highly visible leadership role will partner closely with executive leadership to evaluate, structure, and execute acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and strategic investments while helping build a growing M&A function. The ideal candidate will bring significant transaction experience, strong financial acumen, and a proven ability to lead complex deals from origination through integration.

Responsibilities as the Director of M&A:

  • Transaction Leadership: Lead acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and strategic investment opportunities through the full transaction lifecycle.
  • Strategic Analysis: Evaluate potential opportunities, develop investment theses, assess transaction structures, and support long-term growth initiatives.
  • Financial Modeling: Build and oversee valuation analyses, financial models, discounted cash flow analyses, and transaction underwriting materials.
  • Due Diligence Management: Coordinate internal stakeholders and external advisors throughout diligence, negotiation, execution, and closing activities.
  • Executive Presentations: Prepare and deliver investment recommendations, board materials, and strategic analyses for senior leadership and decision-makers.
  • Integration & Team Development: Support post-acquisition integration efforts, establish best practices, mentor junior team members, and contribute to the growth of the M&A function.

Qualifications for the Director of M&A:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field is required. MBA is preferred.
  • Experience: 5–10 years of mergers and acquisitions, investment banking, private equity, corporate development, or related transaction experience is required.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of acquisitions, divestitures, valuation methodologies, corporate finance, transaction structuring, due diligence, and post-merger integration is required.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, valuation analysis, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and transaction presentation development is required.
  • Skills & Attributes: Strong leadership, analytical, communication, negotiation, and project management skills with the ability to influence stakeholders, manage cross-functional teams, and execute complex transactions in a fast-paced environment are required.
